Microsoft will no longer support the Windows 7
In less than 18 months, Microsoft will no longer support the beloved Windows 7, making the famous operating system stay in history. But if you too are a worshiper of this OS, you do not have to despair, for there is still hope, even if it is temporary.
The Tech Geek, conducted a survey and noted that about 40% of computers still use the system and so decided to keep the support for another three years beyond the date that had already been set.
Microsoft will release what they called ESUs (Extended Security Updates), making it possible for fans of this beloved OS to enjoy it for another "short time". The ESUs will be sold by machine and the user must have installed on the PC Windows 7 Professional or Enterprise.
According to Jared Spataro's, a Chief Marketing Officer: "Windows 7 ESUs will be available to all Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Enterprise customers in Volume Licensing, at a discount to customers with guaranteed Windows software, Windows 10 Enterprise signatures or Windows 10 Education. In addition, Office 365 ProPlus will be supported on devices running Windows 7 Extended Security Update (ESU) until January 2023. This means that customers who purchase Windows 7 ESU can continue to run Office 365 ProPlus."
The value of the service has not yet been disclosed, but I believe that if you are a fan of the system, it will probably be worth just hiring this service.
