YouTube Music is officially launched, the main competitor of Spotify
The difference, according to Google , is that the application also includes everything on YouTube, from official clips to fan versions, and a more efficient search engine that can relate to different terms: if the user does not remember the name of the music or artist, but know an excerpt from the lyrics of the song, for example, YouTube Music promises to find it.

The functionality was built on the perception of what's already happening in the YouTube video app. In it, according to Google, about 80% of the music plays are made by suggestion of the algorithm of the tool, which analyzes the history of reproductions of the user.
YouTube also launched its Premium version in Brazil for R$ 20.90. The package includes background playback, access to original productions and YouTube Music services, as well as eliminating ads and allowing videos to be downloaded. The Brazilian market is the third time in video consumption on YouTube, behind only the United States and India.

To use the full potential of the application, listen to music without commercial breaks and download them, you need to subscribe to YouTube Music Premium, which costs $16.90 per month - even the amount charged by competitors. There is also the Family Music Plan that costs $25.50 per month and gives access to up to six family members (over 13) in the same house.
Like the YouTube app, YouTube Music does not work in the background: you can not, for example, use any other application and listen to music at the same time, unless the user pays the subscription or splits the device screen.
